History

Since its introduction in 1971, the Piper PA-34 Seneca has been the most successful light biplane for six people. It is based on the Cherokee Six and was introduced as a further development of the model. The Seneca range began with a converted trimotor Cherokee Six and evolved into various versions with different engines and modifications. The Seneca models had various improvements such as changes to the flight controls, turbocharged engines and revised interiors. They were also produced by other manufacturers under different names and modified by conversion companies. The latest version, the Seneca V, offers space for five passengers, has powerful turbocharged engines and a variety of optional features for comfort and business needs. The last delivery of the final model of the Piper Seneca V was reported in 2020.
