In the 1970s, Piper Aircraft introduced the Piper PA 31T-620, a turboprop-powered aircraft designed after the Piper Navajo. After the first Piper Cheyenne, several variants were produced, including the Cheyenne IA, the PA-31T Cheyenne II and the Cheyenne IIXL.
